The Latin American Journal of Economic Development (LAJED), over 20 years of uninterrupted semiannual publication, has become an important platform for the dissemination of national and international research, achieving high standards of quality and relevance for academics, policymakers, and civil society leaders alike. This is the result of the joint efforts of the Department of Economics and the Instituto de Investigaciones Socio-Económicas (IISEC) of Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo”, the Sociedad de Economistas de Bolivia, and the Academia Boliviana de Ciencias Económicas, in their commitment to promoting research and contributing to public debate.
