Review Policy

LAJED’s Editorial Team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not align with the journal’s editorial policy, thematic scope, or minimum standards of academic quality and integrity.

Manuscripts that pass editorial pre-screening enter a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers remain anonymous during evaluation.

The process includes an internal peer review stage and, for manuscripts that successfully pass it, an external peer review stage. Reviewers are selected according to their experience and subject-matter expertise and must act independently, confidentially, and without conflicts of interest.

Reviewers’ reports constitute inputs for the editorial decision. The final decision—acceptance, conditional acceptance subject to revisions, or rejection—rests with LAJED’s Editorial Team and will be communicated to the responsible author through the journal’s official channels.

ORIGINALITY CRITERION

LAJED requires originality in all manuscripts it receives. Submissions must not have been previously published as peer-reviewed articles or be simultaneously under consideration by another journal. Prior dissemination as a preprint or working paper is permitted when transparently declared in accordance with the Editorial Policy.

Manuscripts are checked using Turnitin as an auxiliary text-similarity detection tool. The similarity percentage does not, by itself, constitute evidence of plagiarism and is not used as an automatic criterion for acceptance or rejection. The Editorial Team conducts a qualitative assessment of matches and, where appropriate, applies COPE procedures.
