The growing importance of the open access movement has prompted institutions and funding agencies to adopt open access policies that recommend or require authors to deposit their publications in open access repositories. The adoption of mandates by institutions is one of the most effective measures for promoting open access within the academic community and reducing the reluctance many authors express toward open access.

As part of its open access policy, LAJED publishes the contributions submitted by its authors, without financial compensation, with the express authorization of these authors.

Likewise, the LAJED journal promotes the open-access dissemination of all its content among the student body of the Bolivian Catholic University, ensuring compliance with standards that guarantee the preservation, access, interoperability, and visibility of the content hosted by LAJED.

Furthermore, the LAJED journal safeguards the copyright and intellectual property rights of the content posted on its website, in accordance with the provisions of Law 1322 and the Copyright Regulations of the Plurinational State of Bolivia.
